Tide Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 19, 2026 · Last Updated: May 19, 2026

Welcome to Tide

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tide, a cycle tracking app built and operated by Zenkolabs LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using Tide, you agree to these Terms.

We've written these in plain language because we think you should actually understand what you're agreeing to.

The Tide Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

Tide is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.

Your Account

When you create a Tide account, you're responsible for:

If you believe someone has accessed your account without your permission, contact us immediately at tide@zenkolabs.com.

What Tide Is (and Isn't)

Tide helps you track your menstrual cycle, log pad changes, view derived insights such as Body Connections, and review analytics in the Tides tab. It's a tool for understanding your body's rhythms.

Tide is not medical advice. Cycle predictions are estimates based on the data you enter — they are not diagnoses, and they are not guarantees. Tide is not a substitute for professional medical care, and it should never be used for contraception or to plan a pregnancy. Please see our Medical Disclaimer for more detail.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Tide for its intended purpose: tracking your own cycle and body patterns. You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Pricing

Tide is free at launch (v1.0). There is no paid tier, and all current features are available to everyone.

We may introduce optional premium features in the future. If we do, here's our commitment: any feature that is free at launch will remain free. We will never put something behind a paywall that was previously available for free. Premium features will always be additions, not restrictions.

Subscriptions (Future)

This section will become active when paid features launch. It is included now for transparency.

If and when Tide offers paid subscriptions:

Your Data Belongs to You

You own the data you put into Tide. Your cycle records, daily logs, pad-change logs, and any other information you enter is yours.

You can access, edit, request a copy of, or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is handled, and our Account Deletion Instructions if you'd like to delete everything.

We do not sell your data. Period.

Limited Licence to Your Content

To run Tide, we need permission to handle the content you enter. You grant Zenkolabs LLC a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit, display, and process the content you put into Tide solely so we can provide the service to you — for example, storing your logs, syncing across your devices, generating cycle predictions, and showing your data back to you.

This licence ends when the content is deleted, except to the extent we need to retain it briefly to complete the deletion process or to comply with the law.

Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about Tide, you grant Zenkolabs LLC permission to use that feedback to improve the app without any obligation or compensation to you.

Our Content and Intellectual Property

While your data belongs to you, the Tide app itself — including its design, code, branding, and original content — belongs to Zenkolabs LLC. These Terms don't give you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other intellectual property.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Tide app without our written permission.

App Store Terms (Apple)

If you downloaded Tide from the Apple App Store, the following also apply:

Google Play Terms

If you downloaded Tide from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms remain between you and Zenkolabs LLC. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Tide.

Termination

By you: You can stop using Tide at any time. You can delete your account from within the app (Me tab → Delete my account → confirm), and your data will be removed on the schedule described in our Account Deletion Instructions.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we need to discontinue the service. If we terminate your account, we'll give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to request a copy of your data unless we're legally prohibited from doing so.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Zenkolabs LLC and its officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of Tide, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Tide is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we can't guarantee that Tide will always be available, error-free, or perfectly accurate.

Zenkolabs LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Tide. This includes (but isn't limited to) any decisions you make based on cycle predictions, any data loss, or any interruption of service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of Tide is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Since Tide is currently free, this means our liability is limited to zero — but we still care about getting things right.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law.

Disclaimer of Warranties

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that Tide will meet your specific requirements or that cycle predictions will be accurate for your body.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Informal resolution first. Before filing any lawsuit, you agree to contact us at tide@zenkolabs.com and describe the dispute. We'll work in good faith to resolve it. If we can't resolve it within 60 days of receiving your written notice, either of us may take the dispute to court.

Venue. Any unresolved dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, USA, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Force Majeure

Neither party will be liable for any failure or delay caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of war or terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labour disputes, internet or utility outages, or pandemics.

Assignment

We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets. You may not assign these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent.

Severability, Waiver, and Entire Agreement

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy and any other documents they reference) are the entire agreement between you and Zenkolabs LLC regarding Tide and supersede any prior agreements.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of Tide after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, you can delete your account.
